Corvallis Schools FoundationProceeds will be used to support local high school and middle school cross country running, cross country skiing, and track and field programs. These programs need basic items such as timing equipment, hurdles, javelins, uniforms, and other training equipment. Funds raised from this event will also help offset travel expenses for team events, and to expand physical fitness opportunities for middle school age children.

The Corvallis Public Schools Foundation is a 501(c)3 tax exempt organization.

2K course description

The course for the 2K kids run begins in the CV driveway and heads north between the gym and the auditorium, turns west behind the gym and heads out onto the cross country trail around the tennis courts, the baseball diamond, and other sports fields. At the edge of the track facilities, the course turns south and heads back to the area between the gym and the auditorium. Then the runners will turn east and run around the student quad area, around the edge of the classroom buildings, along the front of the school and along the student drop-off area in front of the school to the school frontage road. Heading west on the frontage road runners will proceed to the driveway and head for the finish line. This course is designed so that parents can have multiple viewing points along the course and so that the kids will be on campus for most of the event.
